Greetings Parents and Students,

            I hope that you had a wonderful summer break enjoying family time together. As we begin the 2023-2023 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new year of learning and growing.

Personally, I am grateful and elated to continue this journey with you as your Principal. Over the past few years, I have had a chance to meet many of you and your children, and I look forward to continue building a strong relationship with all the families. As a Full Service Community School, we are organized around two common goals; helping students learn and succeed and strengthening families and communities. As the hub of the community we offer academic, social, and health services for students, students’ family members, and community members. Therefore, registering your child at our clinic is crucial so that they can receive all services offered at FSCS#15.  I hope you will take full advantage of the services offered to you, your child, and your family. We will host a Parent Orientation day on Monday, August 26th from 10am-12noon and Tuesday, August 27th at the same time. I hope that you can come and sign up for our services. 

            Our goal at FSCS#15 is to provide our children, parents, and community a safe place where learning and growing is occurring daily. In order to do so, we need your help in assisting us with creating a School Culture where every child is accepted and valued.  Simply wearing a uniform to school every day helps our children feel connected to the school and it reduces distraction.  Most importantly, wearing a school uniform reduces peer pressure when it comes to their clothes. When everyone is dressed the same, worrying about what you look like is not so important. There is no competition about being dressed in the latest trend, which would put a great deal of financial pressure on students and parents.

I want to invite you to attend our Back-To-School Night on Thursday, September 26, 2023 at 6pm-8pm. We will begin our parent presentation at 6pm in the auditorium and from there you will have the opportunity to visit with the teachers and learn about grade level expectations. In addition, we will help parents get connected to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in order to have access to real-time information regarding your child’s academic progress.

On behalf of the FSCS#15 staff, we are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. We are ready to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships. As your Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. I look forward to speaking to you during our PTO meetings, Back-To-School Night, Parent Workshops, and School events.
